Story
I love to make a difference: I get such a buzz out of solving problems: it makes my day when I can help someone. With all this in mind and as those of you that know me will know, Fundraising, often the key to creating those opportunities, is very close to my heart as it can often make the impossible possible. And if you don't know me, I'm sure you'll agree that finding the money to get someone over an apparently insurmountable hurdle is a win-win for everyone.
People are more important than any physical thing and helping others get through a challenge, or taking action to benefit a community is so rewarding for all concerned. For all those reasons combined, I am "Braving the Shave" in March. I have chosen to support 2 charities very close to my heart and I really hope you will join me in my endeavour, by making a donation to either or both of these charities, helping me to reach my £1000 target. If you would like to split your donation between the charities you will need to click on both links below. PLEASE, jump on board, snap up this opportunity, help make that difference!
In 2020 I lost my younger brother David to suicide after years of struggling with his Mental Health. He never got over losing his best friend who was also our younger cousin to suicide. Losing 2 members of my immediate family to suicide has raised my awareness that so much more needs to be done to help and support those that are suffering. I have therefore chosen to raise money for the Jacob Abraham foundation - https://www.jacobsfoundation.org.uk/ Based in Cardiff to support the incredible work that they do to support people who may find themselves in Crisis and contemplating suicide.
The second charity I am fundraising for is Childhood tumour trust, again when I thought things couldn't get any worse my dearest friends child (aged 15) was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Noah has worked tirelessly since he was 6 years old raising money for others .The childhood tumour trust is relatively new with very little funding https://www.childhoodtumourtrust.org.uk/ Unfortunately more & more children are being diagnosed with brain tumours .Noah is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy to potentially to slow the growth down.
