Story
Fay and Susie are running Nottingham Half Marathon for the Critical Care Unit at Nottingham City Hospital.
Fay’s Dad, Malc, passed away in March 2024 following a short and sudden illness. In his final days he was cared for by a wonderful team at Nottingham City Hospital.
The nurses and doctors gave him the best possible chance of survival. However, despite two operations, he was overwhelmed by sepsis and lost his fight.
It’s been 10 years (and two babies!) since Fay embarked on long distance running. Susie is a more seasoned runner, having conquered Edinburgh Marathon earlier this year.
Together, we will be raising money for Nottingham University Hospitals, in particular the Critical Care ward, who worked 24/7 to care for Malc in his final days. Monies raised will support staff, facilities and research, which will ultimately help patients and families in their most desperate time of need.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help motivate us to get over the finish line in September.
