Story

Doctor Speedo and Fancy Dress Jess Run January!

We both met last year along the docks - Jess in a dragon onesie and myself in just a pair of Speedos. A huge number of donations and miles later we thought we'd continue the challenge and run another 31 x 5kms consecutively in January. We hope to continue to spread a positive message and bring a smile or two to those we run by and speak to.

The charities we are supporting are: Mind, Alder Hey Children's Charity and Diabetes UK.

We hope that our wacky running outfits bring a smile to people's faces and spreads a positive story that everyone can laugh about in these tough times. We have all suffered from difficult situations over the last 2 years and we hope that our challenge can help support vital charities as well as giving people something to brighten their day.

The support of Diabetes UK is something personal for me; in December, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This is a life changing condition that has a daily impact on my life. This also adds in an additional challenge of controlling the condition whilst also running daily. Diabetes UK offer a whole host of services for diabetics and researches treatments and even potential cures in the future.

We hope to see you out on our runs and spreading smiles throughout the city!
