Story
This summer an intrepid group of 15 riders take part in The European Wanderers’ ‘Road to Ventoux’ charity bike ride, a 400-mile, five-day bike ride from Perpignan to Marseille with the aim of raising a combined minimum total of £10,000 for 3 different charities. Our chosen charities are: Mind, Bowel and Cancer Research and the Alzheimers Society.
Starting from the Perpignan on the Mediterranean the route takes us through some of the most amazing countryside, including the famous Chateauneuf du Pap. The fourth day of the ride takes us to the Beast of Provence, Mont Ventoux. Most riders will climb it one way via the Gorges de la Nesque, whilst a few “mad men” will climb Ventoux, three times in one day!!!
