Story
The Shackleton Challenge
In 1916, Ernest Shackleton and a portion of his crew rowed 1330 km in 16 days from Antarctica to the South Georgia Islands in an amazing feat of survival. More than a century later, we have to recreated this feat (through running on land) to help all victims of domestic violence during the ongoing lockdown.
To achieve this goal, we, the Shackleton Society, need your help. Any donation, no matter how large or small, will go a long way towards our goal. Help us reach our target of £2500 before the challenge ends on Saturday the 6th of June!
Simply click 'donate to a team member' and then select a page to donate to. It doesn't matter which one! 100% of donations will go to SafeLives to help put an end to domestic violence.
Your donation is hugely appreciated - thank you.
Each member has been tracking their progress on their individual pages.
We have completed our goal and reached the target of 1300km, we even have an extra 30km in there for good measure. We have all worked very hard and thank you for any donations or support that you have given us.
