Story

Cycle4Sepsis is back for its 8th year and we are supporting them in their mission to raise awareness about sepsis across the country.

In support of the charity a team of intrepid cyclists from Enable Law and friends will be straining their sinews and challenging themselves by taking part in a long distance ride (in socially distanced groups) on 4th November 2020. We are a mixed ability team and some may have to work out how to tell the front wheel from the back.

We are looking for some kind people to sponsor us. So if you could, it would be great if you would donate to our page. Every year in the UK, sepsis kills at least 48,000 people with better awareness thousands of these lives could be saved. Thank you for your help!

Your support and donations will make the difference!

Our team: Paul Sankey, Andrew Hannam, Emily Johnstone, Jackie Linehan, Alex McKnight, Sam Peace, Jon Derrington, Marcus Coates-Walker and Andrew Wood.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
