Story
This year we are doing more events in memory of Emma Mannix as a tribute to her legacy ❤️
Staff and sixth formers are taking part in the Port Sunlight run on Sunday 11 June when we will run 5 or 10K (or both for some!) to remember Emma Mannix and raise awareness of the importance of Blood Cancer UK.
100 members of the Neston High Community completed the Walk of Light 2023 on 25th March, in support of Blood Cancer UK in memory of Emma Mannix.
Kieran Collins ran the Manchester marathon, his first ever one in memory of Emma Mannix which is just amazing!
Emma was diagnosed with Pure Erythroid Leukaemia, an extremely rare type of blood cancer in June 2012.
Unfortunately despite all the hard work, care, and expertise of the staff and consultants at Alderhey Hospital Emma tragically passed away on 7 October 2012.
As those people who were lucky enough to spend time with Emma know she was amazing, always so bright, lively and full of fun. In tribute to Emma's resilience and positive attitude to life 'Team Emma' made up of her family, friends and the Neston High School community are participating in the Walk of Light 2023. This gives us an opportunity to raise money for the Emma Mannix Tribute fund at Blood Cancer UK in order to support valuable research as well as supporting Emma's legacy.
