We have been best friends for nearly 20 years and although we have so many fun memories together, this challenge may be one step (or 26.2 miles) too far! We have both experienced the London Marathon as supporters for our family members, and over a glass or two, we decided to give it a go ourselves.

We will be running the London Marathon in April to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer. Eleanor is a paediatric nurse at Medway hospital, working on Dolphin ward for the past three years. She primarily cares for oncology children throughout their journey, from diagnosis to treatment, and has seen first hand the toll a cancer diagnosis can take on children and their families. The work which Young Lives vs Cancer does is vital in the journey of many children and their families. Too often, young cancer patients and their families do not get the support they need from the government. Young Lives vs Cancer bridges the gap through day-to-day support, financial help, nursing support from home, bereavement support and so much more, to keep families together when it matters most.
