Story
Hello, we are best friends Florence and Eleanor (aged 8 and 10) and like everyone we have been really upset by the war in Ukraine. We want to donate some money to help the Ukrainian people and have decided to hold a cake sale with 100% of the money we raise going directly to the DEC . We both love baking and thought it would be a good way to raise some funds!
Tunbridge Wells Football Club have been really kind and have said we can hold the cake sale in their grounds on Saturday 19th March 2022 as there is a home match. We will be there from 2pm until we run out of cakes. We would love to see you there but if you can’t make it and would still like to donate then that would be amazing! Any amount, small or big would make such a difference!
Thank you,
Florence & Eleanor x
Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing hundreds of thousands to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost.
DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.
