This is my little man stanley as you all no . He was diagnosed with autism in August 2021 and faces many challenges day to day . He is full of beans and hes my absolute joy .I have learnt and always learning everyday about the challenges he faces, his likes, his dislikes , his stimming , his sensory system, his behaviour and the list goes on and on and on . The problem is for most autistic children and adults is that “we” as a society are not educated about what autism actually is and how it effects people . They are not naughty , nor are they rude , loners or any other simple word definition . we need to understand and be aware the world they see is different to the everyday person and can be massively overwhelming and cause severe anxiety . Autism is so much more than a simple word definition its very complex and individual .Please please take the time to visit the National Autistic Society website , take 10 minutes out of your day to educate yourself about autism and the effect it has on every autistic person in our communities . we can make a huge difference to the world they see if we just understand .
