Story
I am embarking on a personal challenge this year that will push me to my limits both physically and mentally. From April to October, I will be participating in every Tough Mudder event across the UK, including two of the toughest events - Europe's Toughest Mudder and an Infinity event.
The reason behind this grueling endeavor is close to my heart ❤️.When my youngest son Fred was just 10 days old, he suffered from a serious heart condition called SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia) which led to cardio respiratory collapse and arrest. It was a terrifying time for me as a parent & for my family, but thanks to the incredible care provided by the experts at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Fred made a full recovery. This happened during the challenging period of lockdown when COVID-19 hit hard, making it even more difficult.
I am forever grateful for the support we received during that time, and I made a promise to myself that I would give back in any way I could. That's why I have committed myself to this year-long challenge in support of the Children's Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF). CHSF relies solely on donations like yours to help over 17,000 babies, children, and adults living with congenital heart disease (CHD) each year. With your support, they can continue their vital work and provide much-needed assistance to those affected by CHD.
My goal is to raise £4.000 for this incredible cause. Every pound counts and brings us closer to making a difference in the lives of those battling CHD. Together, we can support hearts for life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story & visiting my JustGiving page.
