Story

About Dr. Green:

Dr. Green’s name says it all—she’s raising the most green and she’s going for gold! She really didn’t have a choice though, as she has been a part of this incredible event since the very beginning. When her sister-in-law Tricia asks her to jump, she normally responds with ‘how high?!’ We will find out the answer to that tonight…

Originally from Newfoundland, Jordan attended medical school at Dalhousie University. She then completed Internal Medicine residency and GI fellowship at Queen’s University. Persuaded to settle in Thunder Bay thanks to the big, Italian family she married into, Dr. Green is now the Division lead of Gastroenterology and the Medical Lead of Endoscopy Services. She plays a pivotal role in Cancer Care Ontario, and is the Regional Lead of Colorectal Cancer Screening.

When finally able to rest from work, Jordan enjoys reading, pilates, and traveling the world with her husband and two beautiful children. Tonight, Dr. Green is dancing for her mother-in-law Nikki, and making the Del Paggio family proud. She is especially excited to hit the dance floor with the incredibly talented Jacob—he has won it before, can he make it happen for the team again?

About Jacob:

Jacob has a passion for all things theatrical and plans to bring his quick steps to the ballroom floor and lead his partner to success. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, he's been dancing for the past decade and is meant for the stage! He's won multiple awards & accolades, including a National Award: 3rd place for jazz at the British Association of Teachers of Dance.

He thrives in theatre. A graduate of St. Patrick High School, he was the lead in both school musicals: Sebastian in The Little Mermaid and Ren in Footloose (so you know he can dance!). Most recently, he played multiple roles in Chicago with Applauze Productions. Jacob is a registered Nurse who also graduated from Queen's University this fall with a Masters degree in Aging and Health. He continues to reach for the stars and has future MD aspirations. When not working or studying, Jacob enjoys traveling and being involved in local musical theatre productions.

Jacob's very excited to showcase his musical theatre moves with his wonderful partner, Dr. Green. Although he's danced for musicals and danced for awards, he is now honoured to be dancing for nonna Lena and Nikki.
