Story
'A run for a mate'
In December 2019, Rob Burrow, the smallest man in Super League, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. MND affects motor neurones which control muscle movements via the brain and spinal cord. There is currently no cure, with 90% of cases having no known cause.
In November 2020, Kevin Sinfield ran 7 Marathons in 7 Days, 'a run for a mate'. Along with thousands of others, I found Rob & Kev's story emotionally moving, displaying the importance of friendship and resiliance. Being the first Leeds Marathon in 20 years, it felt too good an opportunity not to support the MND community and the iconic Rhinos squad that brought success to Leeds. Please help me support all the families affected by MND and enable continued research for treatments and a cure.

I'm also raising awareness for Population Matters. I believe the question of our coexistence with the natural world is not only one of sustainability but of moral duty & respect. But pro-choice is essential. Population Matters work to raise research-driven debate around population growth and its impact on global inequality and environmental degredation.
