Diane Simpson ❤️

We are hugely saddened that our lovely Diane, dearest and much loved Mam to Peter and Charlotte Maughan, lost her hard fought battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on 7th January, 2025.

Diane was the most kind and gracious person who brought joy and laughter to all who were lucky enough to have met her. We are all heartbroken 💔 and miss her desperately.

Peter and Charlotte, and indeed all of the Simpson-Maughan families have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of grief and are very grateful for all the messages of condolence and support which have given them a great deal of comfort over the past few weeks.

The family respectfully asked for donations to Mcmillan Cancer Support in lieu of flowers at Diane’s Celebration of Life, which has since generated 2 teams to enter this years’ Mighty Hike along the stunning Northumberland Coast to try and raise even more funds. Peter will be leading the first team on the Saturday (13 Sep 25) and Charlotte will lead the second team on Sunday (14 Sep 25).

All donations, no matter how small will be very gratefully received and will make a difference.
