As some of you may be aware, I have, after many failed attempts in the Ballot, finally been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon 2024. I feel like I have been training for this experience for years and I can’t wait to challenge myself physically and mentally.

As well as asking for your support to help me through these next few months, the early mornings, the getting out there whatever the weather and the loooooooong runs, I would also like to make the most of this lifetime experience by asking for your support in fundraising for causes close to my heart.

I have chosen the following two charities that I would like to raise money and awareness for:

Miscarriage Association – Tragically we all know people who have experienced the loss and bereavement of miscarriage and whose lives will forever be a little less complete. Having the opportunity to support this charity as they try to support those affected means a lot to me.

Alzheimer’s Society – Witnessing as a family the effects of this awful disease and the devastating impact it has, not only on those suffering from dementia but also to those who love and care for them, I have to support this amazing charity and the work it does.
