Story
As many reading this will know, Devon-James (my son) was born extremely early, and due to this was on oxygen for many weeks. This caused ROP, which quickly moved to stage 5 and caused his retinas to detach resulting in blindness.
He does not let this stand in his way though and continues to thrive and amaze everybody he meets with his determination, and attitude to life, albeit being in darkness. He brings a smile to all that crosses his path.
I hope to bring with me just half of his spirit as me and my cousins aim to complete the 2025 london landmarks half marathon (or as I call it 'try not to die in the middle of London')
We have chosen guide dogs, as this charity will have a major impact on devons life In the future, i have also been very fortunate to see the amazing work the guide dog trainers do, through his nanna.
A wonderful charity
Thank you
Stuart

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.
Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
