Story
NHS staff are on the front line in the fight again coronavirus (COVID-19). They're going the extra mile, every day, to take care of us and our loved ones despite being under extreme pressure.
We believe they need our support more than ever.
That's why we're fundraising for Barts Charity. They are committed to doing everything they can to help the NHS staff at Nightingale London, St Bartholomew's. The Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals. They will be providing emergency funds to help hospital staff cope with the challenges they're facing, every day.
Demica had been going to do the Three Peaks Challenge for real, but as we can't make it this year, we decided to do it at home instead.
During May we will be climbing the equivalent of the three peaks on our staircases, almost 1500 flights of stairs! Each person/team has no more than one week to complete the challenge
One flight =15 steps/adjusted according to staircase size: Scafell - 412 flights, Snowdon - 475 flights and Ben Nevis - 587 flights of stairs
Those without a staircase to climb have committed to the distance that would have been walked which is 23 miles.
Some of this are setting this as an individual challenge and some as a team effort, but all will be working hard to complete the challenge. Please support us as we put in some legwork to support Barts.
