Aoibhín, Ruth and I have been friends since we were 12. They‘ve always been more sporty than I and pushed me to start sea swimming this summer (2023) after 19 years of living in Greystones and never getting into the sea!

And after a month of consistent dips, I became addicted!

Wanting to put my newfound love of sea swimming to good use, and being a Student Midwife, I have decided to take part in the December Dip for the NMH Foundation to help women & babies, thrive, arrive, and survive at The NMH.

Aoibhín, ever the supportive friend, has decided to dip with me every Sunday in December. A former NICU graduate herself, she recognises how important the work of the NMH Foundation is.

Ruth, a Student Nurse, has decided to join me as well! She has a keen interest in Children’s Nursing, particularly in the NICU, and may even join me as a postgraduate Midwife one day.
