The arrival of coronavirus is placing continued pressure on our local NHS services in Leeds. Take on our challenge to support our major trauma patients and NHS staff during the challenging times ahead.

Story

We are each running 7 Marathons in 7 Weeks from 22nd May to 9th July 2020.

A team from Aintree Major Trauma Centre (MTC), who have already gone above & beyond the call of duty during the Coronavirus crisis, are embarking on a TRULY INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE to raise money for our Major Trauma patients. Each Team Member is running the equivalent of 7 MARATHONS IN 7 WEEKS (26.2 miles per week for 7 weeks).

Major Trauma is a devastating event to happen to an individual & their family. Major Trauma patients & their families are very important to us. Before Day One, there was very little support available to access to aid recovery.

The Day One Major Trauma Charity is a holistic service dedicated to supporting major trauma patients & their families across the UK. It was established by patients for patients, to address the complex challenges that arise following a sudden traumatic injury.

It is being introduced into Aintree MTC & this is the INAUGURAL FUNDRAISING EVENT to take place to support Day One for our Major Trauma patients across Cheshire & Mersey..

The arrival of Coronavirus has placed increased & continued pressure on NHS services & so our Major Trauma patients need even more of your support, as trauma does not stop for Covid. Any support you can offer will be most gratefully received & will REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE to our patients.

PLEASE SUPPORT US & OUR TIRED LEGS!!!
