Story

We ask you to join us in celebrating the amazing achievement's of Ruth Hitchcock, she set herself the huge target below and now the Neuroendocrine Cancer Community will join her on the 12th October to celebrate 365 dips in the ocean. So why not join Ruth, set up your own team locally or maybe a cold plunge pool in the back garden. Whatever you choose to do, all donations will be supporting our research campaign this year. So please join us or support us and make a better future for patients and families with Neuroendocrine Cancer.

To support research into this rare form of cancer, I’m raising funds for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. My challenge? A daily dip in the sea for an entire year! I’ve been sea swimming for a couple of years now, but this time, I’m pushing myself to take the plunge every single day (and drag Dave in at least once a month!). Some winter days might mean a quick jump, but I’m committed to showing up, rain or shine. If storms, illness, or travel prevent me from swimming, I’ll double up on other days to hit my goal of at least 365 dips between October 9, 2023, and October 9, 2024.

Myself, friends and members of the Glasgow support will be supporting Ruth on her last day of this fundraiser with a dip into the cold waters of Loch Lommond on a lovely sunny day on the 12th of October.
