September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and we have a team of 77 people from BCH attempting to do 33 abdominal crunches each day throughout September (74250 crunches!). Our whole team either works to care for children with cancer or supports those who do. We are raising money for both Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and the CCLG (Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group) and are grateful for any money you may be able to give. However, we also want people to talk about it. Although our success rates are high with 8 out of 10 children cured, it remains one of the leading causes of death in childhood. Even with the hope of successful treatment, the journey is hard and long and often has consequences for life. We are doing this to raise awareness of Childhood Cancer - in support of our patients and their families.
