Event: Trek26 Stonehenge - 26 miles, on 3 September 2022
Explore historic landscape dominated by the world-famous stone circle of Stonehenge. Take on the challenge surrounded by people who are trekking for loved ones, and raise money so together we can find a cure.

Story

The Cricket Gins were originally formed last year in advance of the Stonehenge Trek 13 miles September 2021! We had decided to build on our love of sitting at the side of the Cricket field drinking gin together while our little darlings 'play' cricket, and planned to do something useful together to raise money for Alzheimer's Society (it was Lynsey's idea - thank you Lynsey!).

We successfully completed the 13 mile trek in September 2021 but thought this year we should push ourselves further and aim for the full 26 miles. We're also joined by some more friends Stacey, Aisling, Rachel and Rob, who are keen to trek with us (and will probably be much fitter and faster than we are!). Oh well, our aim is to take part and complete the course, hopefully having done at least some training beforehand. This is the tricky bit fitting it into our busy lives!

Knowing you are supporting us will drive us onward and anything you can donate will make a huge difference. Thank you.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
