Story
Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm raising money for British Heart Foundation, Epilepsy Research UK and The Compassionate Friends for Harry .
As you all know we lost Harry suddenly and unexpectedly November 2019, forever 57 and to mark what would have been his 60th birthday on March 16th I'd like to try and raise some money.
I'm challenging myself to walk '60 miles to British Heart Foundation (BHF's 60th birthday' throughout the month of March to raise money for BHF, I'm also aiming to do 60,000 steps as part of the #6 for 600 challenge to raise money for Epilepsy Research, in particular, relating to Coronary Heart Disease which runs in our family. Epilepsy can be controlled with medication for many years but sadly the medications can suddenly stop working. Often there is no known cause.
I'm lucky if I walk 5k in a whole week so this will be a challenge - feel free to join me!
In addition, I would like to raise some money for The Compassionate Friends (tcf.org.uk) who have provided great support. The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is a charitable organisation of bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents dedicated to the support and care of other similarly bereaved family members who have suffered the death of a child or children of any age and from any cause.
Unfortunately, donations cannot be split between charities. I have set up a Team page where you can choose the charity of your choice from the following:
1st charity is British Heart Foundation, 2nd charity is Epilepsy Research UK and 3rd Charity is Compassionate Friends.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your support, every little bit helps whether you donate £5 or £30.
