In April 2022 I will be leaving to attempt to cycle just under 10,000km around the coastline of Great Britain, roughly the same distance as cycling from London to Bangkok. I will be following the coast as closely as possible and I estimate the journey will take me around 5 months.

Why?

Because it will be an adventure, and I have not seen anywhere near enough of my country. Also after two years of various lockdowns I am looking forward to having a bit of freedom again.

How you can help

I would be lying if I said my intentions for doing this ride were altruistic, but I thought whilst I do this I should raise money for charity. I have decided upon two charities:

The Disaster Emergency Committee's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, which is raising money to help those fleeing Ukraine.

Cardiac Risk in the Young which raises awareness of, and works towards preventing, young sudden cardiac deaths. Each week in the UK 12 people under the age of 35 die of undiagnosed heart conditions.
