Story
Vanessa and Rebecca work very closely together, based at the Coop Funeralcare Care Centre in Oldham, although they both work along side all the Coop homes around Oldham including, Chadderton, Royton, Middleton, Moston & Blackley. Vanessa is the Funeral Service Manager whilst Rebecca is one of the Funeral Directors. They have worked together for over 4 years and both share a love for community but a huge fear of heights.
As part of Coop they have always tried to work closely within the community. In the past they have set up community events within care homes, social clubs, churches, schools, they have collected toiletries and food for shelters, arranged raffles, and open days. We have done car washes, bike rides, cake sales, book sales and even a sponsored head shave. All in the name of community and charity.
The last 18 months have been very challenging and it has meant that community works sadly have not been able to go ahead, social distancing and lock down has put a hold on our events....... until now.
Vanessa and Rebecca wanted to do something that would really push them out of their comfort zone and at the same time be able to raise money for the incredible charity, MIND. MIND do amazing support work and after the difficult year we have all had they are needed more than ever. What better way to raise money than to face their fears and go high, high into the sky. The perfect but scary plan....jump out of a plane and skydive back down. This is a huge phobia to overcome but the ladies will do it for MIND. So please sponsor them, however great or small every donation counts.
The skydive has been paid for in full meaning that every penny raised will go directly to MIND.
