Story
Join us in supporting a great cause! On Friday 6th September, 12 members of Consilium’s Professional & Executive Risk Solutions team will take on the national Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and MacMillan Cancer Support.
The challenge involves scaling the three highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—within 24 hours. This demanding trek covers over 26 miles (42 km) horizontally and includes a total vertical ascent of 3,000 meters (9,843 feet).
Our journey begins on Thursday, September 5th, as we travel to Fort William. We'll start with Ben Nevis on Friday morning, continue with Scafell Pike in the afternoon, and finish with Snowdon in the early hours of Saturday, September 7th.
We aim to raise over £15,000 for two incredible charities that are making a significant impact:
Cancer Research UK
Cancer affects millions, and it's a challenge that touches us all. We support Cancer Research UK because we believe in the power of collective action to drive change. Every pound we raise brings us closer to groundbreaking treatments, innovative therapies, and, ultimately, a cure.
MacMillan Cancer Support
Facing cancer is one of the toughest challenges anyone can experience. MacMillan Cancer Support is there for individuals and their families every step of the way, providing essential medical, emotional, practical, and financial support. We are proud to support MacMillan’s mission to ensure no one faces cancer alone
Several team members are dedicating their participation in the challenge to their loved ones:
Katherine Jardine: I am completing this challenge in memory of my parents. I lost my mother in August 2021 and my father in March 2023, both to forms of cancer.
Neal Hughes: I am taking on this challenge in memory of my father, Brian Hughes, who passed away from cancer in December 2004.
Mia East: I will be completing this challenge in memory of my Nan, who passed away from Cancer in May 2024.
Callum Hay: I am doing this for my Grandmother, who is currently battling cancer.
Together, we can make a significant impact. Please donate and support our cause!
