Story
Cobweb are proud to support Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
The charity provides support and care for Harriet who suffers with epilepsy. When Harriet was first diagnosed, as a family, we did not know where to turn or if there was any support for us. Fortunately, we found Roald Dahl’s charity and from that day, they have supported us through our journey.
The nurses have been on hand to provide support and information when we have been unsure. We can contact them via phone or email which has prevented additional trips to A&E or our local doctors.
Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provides specialist nurses and support to seriously ill children.
Today, there are over 100 Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses caring for over 32,000 seriously ill children across the UK.
Roald Dahl Nurses work in NHS Trusts and Health Boards across the UK, supporting children and young people affected by complex, lifelong conditions. Roald Dahl Nurses also support children as they transition from child to adult healthcare services.
The dedication and expertise of Roald Dahl Nurses reduces A&E visits, hospital admissions, and consultant appointments. They are a vital life-line to the whole family, coordinating care, and providing access to high quality emotional support.
Roald Dahl Nurses are highly trained, senior professionals who can ‘make things happen’ both in the hospital and the wider community setting such as with schools or GPs.
