Story
“Our 18month old son Winter was admitted to hospital in May stuck in a seizure cycle, at one point he was having over 50 seizures a day. He was sent to ICU in St George’s and sedated, during this time we found out his MRI scan showed an abnormality to his brain requiring urgent brain surgery at GOSH. He underwent surgery in June and is doing amazingly well.
During this tough time we had a visit from Momentum to discuss support for us and the boys. Momentum support families with children facing cancer or other serious illnesses. Partnering with hospitals in Surrey, Sussex, and London, they provide tailored support both in hospital and at home.
They are amazing! Their services include counselling, creative therapies, experiences, and respite breaks which we have had the opportunity to use.
So we would love to raise some money for them and obviously a winter walk (name being very apt) sounds perfect.”
