Story
I found out I have a Grade 4 Brain Tumour 2 years and 3 months ago. I was just 34 at the time with a one year old son. I was given 2-3 years to live. I am not alone in diagnosis and poor prognosis. My grandad died of the same cancer on bonfire night in 2022.
At times I have mourned my previous life, reflecting on all I have lost, but Teddy has kept me going. He forces me to get up in the morning and to keep fighting. I have looked at alternative treatments but I am unable to afford them, e.g. £150,000 for immunotherapy. I suspect I am not the only person who cannot pay for alternative treatments. I hope that in the future our government will fund more research for brain tumours. I hope another therapy will be found soon to prevent so much heartache and pain. I hope you and your family are well and never experience this trauma. Please help me find hope by donating to this cause, together we are stronger.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
