99 Miles in November Challenge 2024
Campaign by Brain Tumour Research (RCN England and Wales 1153487, Scotland SC046840)
Beat the cold this November to help us fund the fight against brain tumours.

Story

In March this year, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I feel fortunate to be on a 'watch and wait' approach for now until my next scan. On this journey, I have encountered individuals and families facing far greater challenges due to brain tumours. This has inspired me to step up by participating in the '99 Miles in November Challenge 2024' alongside my sister-in-law, Catherine. Together, we aim to walk or even jog 99 miles to support the fight against brain tumours. This event offers a unique opportunity for everyone to contribute at their own pace through various activities such as walking, jogging, running, cycling, swimming, or even horseback riding. Our goal is to raise £150 for this important cause.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
