The world's biggest half marathon is back and the biggest ever number of Team Bowel Cancer UK runners are coming together with one aim - a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

Story

Nicki, Yvette and I have been friends since we joined the Bury St Edmunds Concert Band some 20ish years ago! We have been through a lot over the years but our friendship remains one of the best! We took up running thanks to parkrun and have completed all sorts of running challenges and events over the last few years. A glass of prosecco usually helps us celebrate the finish. In fact we are known for it!

We are raising money for Bowel Cancer UK as my mum has recently been diagnosed and our plan is to do the Great North Run. With things the way they are, we know this probably won‘t happen this year now, so we are completing a range of challenges and running events instead. Starting with an event we have organised called the Mega May Challenge!

We appreciate all the support our family and friends are giving us.

Lots of love,

Sarah, Nicki & Yvette xxx
