Picturehouse is proud to be supporting Refuge which helps women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Domestic abuse is the biggest issue affecting women in our society today. It affects one in four women at some point in their life and 800,000 children every year.

Our cinema contains multitudes of strong women at it's core. We have experienced first-hand the devastation that can be caused through gendered violence. This cause is visceral and integral to our values as a team. We have been partnered with Refuge for a number of years and have admired the incredible things they have accomplished.

This month we are holding a fundraiser for Refuge, in the hopes that our team will each raise £50 by doing 50km in January. Some by running, cycling, cross training. No matter the way, we will get it done!
