Story
We are pleased to announce that Wood has partnered with Charlie House, to help raise money for their 'Big Build Appeal'. Charlie House is creating a purpose-built facility in Aberdeen to support families in the region and we have committed to raise £75,000 towards their Therapeutic Playroom; a base to deliver crucial therapeutic and emotional support sessions and to help with learning and development.
There are over 600 different conditions that can be deemed as life-limiting - a condition having no cure and potentially shortening the child's life. In the North East of Scotland, there are at least 1,500 babies, children and, young people living with one of these conditions. Charlies House organises activities and projects to enable families to gain confidence, engage socially, enjoy activities together, meet others in a similar situation, share information, and to get emotional and practical support when they need it most.
Their vision has always been to have a purpose-built facility in Aberdeen to support families in the region. The building and planned services provided from the centre will dramatically change the support available to these children and families locally when they need it.
We need your help to raise these much-needed funds. It will be more challenging this year whilst we are still in our virtual world but like last year when we smashed our target, we will do everything we can to do it again.
There will be planned events organised by the Charity Committee but please try and think of events you can do to raise funds.
Thank you all in advance,
