We are doing this for Cheryl... Who we sadly lost 10 years ago.

I cannot quite believe it has been 10 years since we lost my beautiful mum, Cheryl. For those that don't know, we lost mum to Ovarian cancer, a disease that for some, can go undetected for some time due to the symptoms you can get. It was initially detected in 2010 and after a hysterectomy, numerous rounds of chemotherapy and a blast of radiotherapy, she temporarily went into 'remission'. However, it returned and even after further treatment, this cruel disease sadly took her from us in January 2013.

Cheryl was truly known for her laugh. Not only was it infectious, it was very loud and people would hear her before they saw her. She was also known for often sporting a red lippy! Cheryl had the most beautiful soul and I can easily say she was taken from us far too soon. I guess I still feel a sense of injustice when I think about how soon.

However, that being said, I haven't had the chance until now to be able to show my gratitude for the care and support The Wisdom Hospice especially, showed my mum. Macmillan Cancer Support also helped along the way.

I am going to try and complete as many challenges between now and April 2024 to try and I have set up two fundraising pages to raise as much as possible.
