In September myself, Phil and two of our oldest friends (Fiona and Matt) will complete the Great North Run.

Autumn 2022 marks the 18th year of the incredibly short life of our daughter Amelia Grace Howard.

We had excitedly waited 41 weeks for her arrival and after finding her heart had stopped beating, our world felt like it had fallen apart and our hearts were broken.

The team at James Cook University Hospital were so kind as they helped us to make positive memories of Amelia’s place in the world, this was all so vital in our grieving and healing process.

Unfortunately our journey is not unique and the maternity bereavement fund is vital to support other families to cherish the very short time they have with their babies who may have died during pregnancy or soon afterwards.
