Raising money for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Motor Neurone Disease Association

Story

Well, it turns out I have won a place in this year's London Marathon 2020! So the last few weeks have seen me plodding my way round streets of Weston in rain, wind and hail, trying to get fit for this epic event on 26th April 2020. By doing this marathon I am hoping to raise a little bit of money for two brilliant charities; the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and the RNLI.

Last year a good friend was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease; I have been so inspired by how bravely he and his family have faced this illness. I would be incredibly proud to raise some funds for MNDAssoc, which supports those living with Motor Neurone Disease.

Those who know me will be aware that the RNLI has always played a huge part in my life, and I have served on Weston-super-Mare LIfeboat Crew now for 22 years. I am hoping to raise money for Weston-super-Mare RNLI, to help towards building our new lifeboat station.

So friends and family, please dig deep and donate to one (or both!) of these amazing charities. It would mean such a lot; your support makes those breezy, often soggy training runs just a little easier!

Thank you, Charlie x
