Story
Following our son's serious mountain bike accident at Buckland Rings, near Lymington, on Sunday 24th April, we have decided to take up the challenge to 'Outrun an Ambulance'.
A significant number of vehicles and staff attended the scene to provide the medical support that Harry needed
As a family and group of friends, we have decided to take up the challenge to help put back some of the financial cost that Harry was so lucky to have had access to.
On average each ambulance from Lymington Ambulance Service covers 129 miles each shift. We have decided to walk from Southampton General Hospital back to Buckland Rings, which is a distance of 17 miles. Our team of walkers will aim to beat the distance of 129 miles and Outrun an Ambulance.
If you can spare a few pounds or a few pence, we and South Ambulance Charilty would be immensely grateful. Whilst we hope that we or you do not need to call on their services, by giving something back, we can all help to ensure the emergency support is there when needed:
With the South Coast Ambulance Charilty are able to provide additional support to our ambulance crews and volunteers, fund innovative new projects and work alongside our operational teams to really enhance the patient care South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) is able to provide.
We work across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire for emergency and patient transport services (PTS). Our PTS service also extends in to Surrey and Sussex. To find out more about what we do and why please visit our website at https://scascharity.org.uk/
