Story
On 27 April 2025 I will be running the London Marathon.
I was due to run in 2020, however, the marathon was cancelled due to Covid-19. I successfully raised £1,212.16 with the help of my family. My target for April 2025 is additional £1,750.
I’m running for Muscular Dystrophy in memory of my Mother Angela Carter, who very sadly died in 2013. Angela lived with Muscular Dystrophy for most of her life, which never stopped her doing as much as she could to fundraise for this charity, aiding research for people suffering with muscle wasting conditions.
There is potential our family could be affected by Muscular Dystrophy, and this absolutely petrifies us. Therefore, we are passionate about raising money to help fund research projects.
The whole family are getting involved; they have arranged their own small fundraising events to help raise as much money as we can to support Muscular Dystrophy charity.
Every penny donated to Muscular Dystrophy will be put to great use. Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 111,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions. There's currently no cure, and it many cases, it limits lives. MDUK do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions. All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
