How many miles can you run in 30 days? Could you take on 50 or 100 miles to help us beat dementia?

Story

Carl and I are going to be running 50 miles each in 1 month to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. Since my Nanny was diagnosed with vascular dementia I have wanted to fundraise for a charity that puts money into research and support. It's such an incredibly cruel disease and every pound is a step closer to finding a cure. Carl found this challenge, "Run for Dementia" and set it up for us to do it together.

I haven't run properly for years and although Carl has got into it since the first lockdown he's never racked up this many miles in a month before, so this is going to be a real challenge for us both!

We lost my wonderful Nanny at the end of 2020 and not only did the long lockdown rob us of precious time with her, the isolation certainly accelerated the disease. My Grandad has now faced the same diagnosis and yet again we have been faced with missing precious time and he suffers because of it.

We appreciate that during these times there is a lot of uncertainty, but if you are able to spare anything at all it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support,

Erin and Carl xx
