Story
This March, I’m taking on the Walk In Her Shoes challenge in solidarity with the thousands of women who are facing crisis and conflict across the world.
Wherever these women walk, they find danger. When a woman in Gaza walks to her children, she faces destruction and hunger. When a woman in Sudan walks to find water, she might come back empty handed.
By pushing myself physically and mentally, I hope to gain a deeper perspective on the hardships faced by those who are forced to flee violence, instability, and loss. While I know I can’t fully replicate the experience, this walk is my way of building empathy for those who face the constant threat of danger and struggle to survive each day. It’s about connecting with their resilience, and hopefully, it will drive me to contribute more to making a difference.”
