Story
A fundraiser for Child Action Lanka by Bertie Deen, Arul Singh and Jeremy John De Zilwa.
Child Action Lanka (CAL) is a dedicated non-profit organization working to uplift vulnerable children and families across Sri Lanka. We operate in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Colombo, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Akkarayan and Batticaloa districts, providing comprehensive support to children from diverse backgrounds.
Child Action Lanka needs your help to continue the crucial work it does to provide opportunity for education and physical development of some of the most underprivileged children in Sri Lanka.
1. Share a Meal
Child Action Lanka provides over 400,000 meals yearly for street children and street-connected children. In preparation for our feeding programme for the year of 2025, the “Share a Meal” campaign is targeted at raising funds to provide meals for the children we serve across our 8 centres in 2025. £3,900 will help us to achieve our goal of 10,000 meals. At CAL we provide a healthy breakfast and lunch 5 days a week to the children we serve.
2. Health Camps
To address the pressing healthcare needs of over 1,000 underprivileged children and their families, CAL proposes a series of community health camps. These centres aim to deliver essential medical care, health education, and community support. The cost for 8 health camps at our 8 child development centres will be £2,200.
We therefore aim to raise a total of £6,100, with all other proceeds going to the general yearly running of the 8 CAL Development Centres.
We ensure you that your support will go a long way in providing care and development of many deserving children.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
