Story

We work on Ward C24 at Queen’s Medical Centre. This is a relatively new ward dedicated to the care of emergency general surgical patients who require a short stay in hospital following an episode of illness such as appendicitis. We are attempting to open an additional same day emergency care unit alongside the ward where patients can be admitted for in the morning for outpatient procedures and discharged later that day. This should hopefully reduce the stress on already oversubscribed outpatient lists and increase the capacity of inpatient beds. We are taking on the QMC Abseil with the help of Nottingham Hospitals Charity, to raise money for our ward to improve both patient and staff experience on C24.

Nottingham Hospitals Charity supports patients and staff across Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital, Nottingham Children's Hospital and Ropewalk House.
Nottingham Hospitals treat over 10,000 patients each year and each donation helps them continue their care.
