Story
We at Brown Thomas Arnotts, like so many across the globe, have been shocked and saddened by the escalation of violence in Ukraine and stand in solidarity with all affected by this crisis.
In recognition of the journey so many have been forced to make from Ukraine to Ireland; Team Brown Thomas Arnotts will be cycling that distance to raise much needed funds for UNICEF Ireland Ukraine Emergency Fund.
How will it work?
On April 15th from 10am - 4pm, team members from across all 7 Brown Thomas Arnotts stores will cycle in 20 minute time slots to collectively cycle 2,508km; border to border, from Ireland to Ukraine.
How you can support?
Donate here anything you can, every single euro helps go towards essential supplies for those in need in Ukraine and in the bordering countries.
Alternatively, you can 'tap to donate' via our kiosks across our stores.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Team Brown Thomas Arnotts
A note from UNICEF Ireland
Urgent Humanitarian Aid Needed
"Heavy weapons fire along the line of contact has already damaged critical water infrastructure and education facilities.
Tens of thousands of families are being forcibly displaced and thousands more are fleeing in search of safety. Right now the humanitarian needs are huge and are likely to increase.
UNICEF is working across the Ukraine to scale up life-saving programmes for children. This includes trucking safe water to conflict-affected areas, prepositioning health, hygiene and emergency education supplies as close as possible to communities near the line of contact.
UNICEF need as much help as they can get to deliver these life saving supplies. Every little will count towards achieving this goal."
