Story

BSIB staff are taking on the challenge of 5k, 10k or 15k steps a day for the month of May to raise money for SAMH.

SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) is Scotland’s largest mental health charity and believe there is no health without mental health. SAMH has represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for more than 90 years.

SAMH is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing for all: with a vision of a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances

-- 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem every year

-- 1 in 3 GP appointments are related to mental health

-- 1 in 6 people at work are affected by depression, anxiety or another mental health condition at any one time

Challengers taking part are Marianne Learmonth, Liz Forrest, Maria Casey, Lynn Milne, Lisa Selcraig, Mark Lewis, Sharon Canning, Scott Fairgrieve, Lauren Ferguson, Karen Reynolds, Stuart MacLeod, Roy Pirie, Edward Bruce, Jo Bruce, Kirsty McLear, Sonja Wright, Kenny Diamond, Graham Paterson, Al Richards and Chelsea O'Rourke. Best of luck all!
