Story
I'm running from Land's End to John O'Groats in June 2025. It's 1,030 miles along trails and roads, over 5 weeks, averaging 33 miles a day. As a newcomer to ultra running, with no experience, no colon, and with some unplanned knee surgery during my training thrown in, it's going to be a challenge but I'm giving it my best shot. Learn more about it and follow my training journey at https://lepetitjog.blogspot.com/
I'm fundraising for both Claro Enterprises and the Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Association (IA Support). Just Giving can't split the donation so please donate to whichever you choose. However, it would be very much appreciated if you are able to donate equally to both!
As someone with an ileoanal pouch following total colectomy for ulcerative colitis in 1996, I know personally how great IA Support is. The charity supports people with ileostomies and internal pouches through 1:1 support, information, local groups and advocacy.
Claro Enterprises offers work experience for people with mental health conditions. Claro identify their interests and skills and find a way of utilising these through it's workshop in Starbeck, North Yorkshire. I've been inspired to give the challenge a go by the founder of Claro Enterprises, who is also a member of my running club, through his lifetime of adventures, including climbing the highest mountains in each continent, and cycling the length of New Zealand, as well as Lands End to John O'Groats.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks in advance. Wish me luck!
