This year Brockwell Swimmers will again be raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute with three relay teams attempting to cross the Channel as well as a relay at the Lido in August.

We have booked the Connemara, skippered by Kevin Sherman, for the neap tide Sunday 14th July, Tuesday 16th July and Friday 2nd August. These are prime slot to swim but if the weathers does misbehave the swim may be delayed until later in the year. The twenty and half mile crossing will be swum one hour at a time by each member; e.g. one hour swim then four hours rest. Last year’s successful swim took just over 14 hours.

Also, on Saturdat 3rd August Brockwell Swimmers will attempt to swim a matching distance of 676 lengths of the Lido. We have one lane for three hours, 9am to 12noon. How many could you pledge? More details on our web site www.brockwellswimmers.com
