Event: Ride for Precious Lives 2024, from 12 July 2024 to 14 July 2024
Cycling over 200 miles, across 3 counties in 3 days!

Story

Zoe and Mich’s 1st time riding for precious lives in July 2023, it was one of the best experiences and hardest of our lives- we are so very grateful for the opportunity, support and sponsorship for this charity , that we have decided to go again , but back the other way and have recruited two more to join the ‘Bristol babbers on bikes ‘ team.

Stacey Tudor, Amanda Belgium, and Bianca Taylor you are in for a treat and exhaustion 🤣🚴💨.

’Little Bridge House’, Little Harbour, and ‘Charlton Farm' Hospice's are

providing vital care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Each one of these wonderful hospices provide respite, short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care.

In July 2024 we’ll be cycling over 200 miles from Somerset to Cornwall in aid of CHSW to help raise vital funds to support and care for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Same as July 2023 ride will know this will be one of the hardest challenges - But nothing in comparison to what each child and their families endures daily.

Here’s our three days :

Day 1 Wraxall to Taunton 60 miles with 3261ft climbing , 4 climbs - leaving Charlton Farm south west Hospice.

Day 2 Taunton to Bideford 70 miles with a 5072ft climb. Visiting south west hospice- Little Bridge house, Barnstaple.

Day 3 Bideford to St Austel 76.5 miles with a 5600ft climbing, 3 climbs. Finishing at south west hospice Little Harbour, st Austell.

As some of you already know South west childrens hospice- Charlton Farm, has a special place in our hearts. Callum, Zoe's son was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome at the young age of 2. Callum is now 16 years and has faced many challenges. however, Charlton Farm, have provided some of the most amazing care, family respite, and support- allowing for some much needed rest. Their staff, Facilities and care is phenomenal.

Without your donations, wonderful hospices such as these could not operate, the hospices work on donations alone, so it is vital that we try to collect as many pennies as we can.

PLEASE help us to support this charity, so that more families can benefit from the support and care.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all so much

Zoe, Mich, Amanda, Stacy and Bianca xxxx
