Taking inspiration from the song "500 Miles" by the Proclaimers (my Ma’s favourite song), I’ll run, cycle & swim 500 miles over the next 3 months, inviting as many of you as possible to join me for one/some/all events, either in person (in a covid safe manner) or remotely, to do “500 More”. The target is to raise £1000* for cancer charities across Ireland and the UK, in memory of my Mother, Bridget Hayes, whom many of you will have known and loved. Bridget died after a short battle with stomach and liver cancer in June 2019. I'll conclude the 500 miles on the week of Bridget's second anniversary, on June 20th.
