Roughin' it for a Reason · 24 September 2020 ·

Will you camp in cold or comfort... that's up to you! Roughin' it for a Reason presented by Cabela's is a campout fundraiser that you can do safely from your own backyard or balcony to help build a new Nature Centre at Scanlon Creek.

Story

The Birks NHC team is excited to take part and contribute to an exciting and important fundraising event: I'm 'Roughin' it for a Reason'!

Nature is important to the Birks NHC team and we believe that creating new spaces were the public can come learn and experience the natural world is a crucial need during these challenging times. Too many of us are stuck inside and in front of our screens instead of outside enjoying nature. The new Nature Centre will provide a space for the whole community to learn and experience nature first hand.

Help the Birks NHC team camp in comfort by reaching our goal! The more donations we receive, the more comfort we will have. We will be camping out at Awenda Provincial Park on September 24, 2020 and we hope to have some camping gear!

What's even better? Birks NHC will be matching every dollar raised to support this amazing project!

If we reach $200... we'll get tents!
If we reach $400... we'll get sleeping bags!
If we reach $600... we'll have flashlights!
If we reach $800... we'll get pillows! (please, oh pretty please!)
If we reach our goal of $1000... we'll get delicious snacks! (my tummy will thank you!)

Thank you in advance for your donations! We appreciate your support for the new Nature Centre and for trying to make us comfortable while camping!
