Story
We're taking part in the Beaverbrooks Bike Ride to support Trinity Hospice. There are five routes to choose from (15, 18, 30 and 45 miles), starting at either AKS, Lytham or the Bay Horse, Thornton then travelling across the Fylde Coast.
As we enjoy a challenge, we are going all out and doing the full 45 mile ride.
Trinity Hospice is more than just a building, hospice care reaches into homes across the Fylde Coast. Every patient is an individual, with choices around what sort of care they would like, and where they would like to receive it. Trinity Hospice is about living life to the full and living well to the very end.
My dad, Ken, spent the last weeks of his life in the care of the amazing team at Trinity. Every member of the team, from the nurses who came out to visit and support in the early weeks, to the volunteers, cleaning and site staff, the HCA's, the nurses and the doctors in the Hospice building had such compassion and understanding for the most difficult time in a families life. They gave advice and support to us, as a family.
They rely on donations to keep the quality of care at the highest level.
Please support them by donating as much as you are able.
If you would like to join us on the day, either by taking part in the ride or cheering us on along the way we would appreciate it.
We are all a bit rusty on our bikes but we wil ensure no matter how hard it us, we will be driven by the grit & determination Ken showed throughout his 76 years.
